RM × SFMOMA는 세계적인 팝스타 BTS의 리더 RM의 개인 소장품을 중심으로 한 최초의 미술관 전시입니다. 이번 전시는 RM과 SFMOMA(샌프란시스코 현대미술관)의 소장품에서 선정한 약 200점의 작품을 한자리에 선보이며, 현대미술과 동시대 미술이 세계 각지의 작품들과 어떻게 대화를 이루는지를 살펴볼 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다. 이 가운데 상당수의 작품은 미국에서 처음으로 일반에 공개되는 작품입니다.
RM의 컬렉션에는 한국의 주요 작가인 윤형근, 박래현, 권옥연, 김윤신, 도상봉, 장욱진의 작품이 포함되어 있으며, 이 밖에도 세계 각국의 수많은 저명한 동시대 작가들의 작품이 소장되어 있습니다.
RM × SFMOMA는 이들 작품과 SFMOMA가 소장하고 있는 한국 작가 김환기의 작품, 그리고 마크 로스코(Mark Rothko), 아그네스 마틴(Agnes Martin), 앙리 마티스(Henri Matisse), 조지아 오키프(Georgia O’Keeffe), 파울 클레(Paul Klee) 등 미국과 유럽 작가들의 작품 사이에 존재하는 공통된 주제와 연관성을 조명합니다.

RM x SFMOMA will be the first-ever museum exhibition featuring artworks from the personal collection of RM, leader of pop royalty BTS. The exhibition brings together 200 works from the collections of RM and SFMOMA, offering a chance to see modern and contemporary Korean artworks in conversation with artworks from around the world. Many of the artworks have never before been exhibited to the public in the US.
Among the key Korean artists represented in the collection of RM are Yun Hyong-keun, Park Rehyun, Kwon Okyon, Kim Yun Shin, To Sangbong, and Chang Ucchin, in addition to works by numerous notable contemporary artists from around the world. RM x SFMOMA will highlight the shared themes between these works and complementary SFMOMA collection artworks by Korean artist Kim Whanki as well as American and European artists such as Mark Rothko, Agnes Martin, Henri Matisse, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Paul Klee.
